THE ARTISTE GUIDE

Think timeless romance meets old-world artistry. Every portrait is thoughtfully designed to feel cinematic, painterly, and deeply personal. Rich textures, dramatic light, and intentional styling come together to create imagery that feels as though it belongs in a gallery. Choose clothing and details in muted jewel tones that photograph beautifully in natural light.

Flowers

Flowers are an essential part of the story. Imagine armfuls of garden roses spilling from vintage vessels, delicate sweet peas climbing through the arrangement, dahlias, peonies, and wild branches gathered as if freshly picked from an old estate garden. Every bloom is chosen for its color, texture, and movement, creating an atmosphere of abundance and romance that feels both effortless and painterly.

Food

Food becomes part of the composition, adding warmth, richness, and a sense of celebration. A rustic table may be adorned with artisan bread, ripe figs, pears, grapes, fresh herbs, handmade pastries, cheeses, and beautiful seasonal fruit, all arranged with linen, candles, and heirloom ceramics. The result is a still life that feels generous, inviting, and timeless—an image worthy of hanging on the wall.

The Setting

Your portrait unfolds in a place that feels like it belongs to another era. Whether wandering through blooming gardens, standing beneath ancient olive trees, exploring a quiet artist's studio, or walking along the coastline as the sun melts into the horizon, every location is chosen to complement your story. Bathed in the soft glow of golden light, each setting becomes part of the artwork, creating portraits that feel cinematic, evocative, and enduring.

THE PAINTING

After your Artist Portrait we want to curate not only a stunning gallery of images but one image in particular that speaks the deepest. This artful piece will be your framed painting. What might this look like?

TEXTURE

Texture brings life to your images, a place for the eyes to gently unpack. Hand embroidery, ruffles, pleats.. anything that adds character, depth and craftsmanship to your scene. Here the softness of her skin contrasts the delicate texture of the flowers. The black strap is a striking contemporary shock to the eye that brings an avant guarde element to this portrait.

We can also achieve this through flowers, food and location. But wardrobe texture is particularly delicious.

NOTE: If you love black and white fine art images please let me know so I can incorporate them into your session.

This is your permission to embrace

beauty without restraint...

More flowers. More texture. More candlelight. More fruit. More fabric. More color. More artistry.

Together, we create portraits that are immersive, romantic, and unforgettable—images that feel less like photographs and more like paintings discovered in a timeless collection.
